The Vedas Project

A New Translation Initiative

The current translation initiative of the Maharshi Dayananda Gurukula in Guyana endeavors to deliver a revived understanding of the Vedas based on the strict interpretation rules and etymological methods of Panini’s Aṣṭādhyāyī and Yāska’s Nirukta.

This was the cardinal message propounded by Swami Dayananda Saraswati of the Arya Samaj – with the call of “Back to the Vedas”.
